GOALIE SPECIFIC TRAINING

Training goalies is different from training other hockey players because they are always on the ice and instead of skating forward and backward, they spend the majority of the game moving laterally. This requires increased mobility and strength in their hips and lower body. Sensory and mental development is also incredibly important to goalie specific training. Speed of reaction time and decision-making is equally as significant as the speed of movement. UFIT’s goalie specific training programs are for goalies looking to take their game to the next level and increase lateral movement, explosiveness, agility, strength, conditioning, sensory and mobility. Mike Murphy and UFIT maintain an open dialogue to ensure athletes receive the best training, both on and off the ice, for optimal performance.

TRAINING TIMES:
Ages 10-13 - Mondays & Wednesdays 7pm

Ages 14+ Semi-Private Training - Since older athletes have more demanding schedules, Semi-Private Training offers the flexibility to execute their individualized goalie specific training program during a wide range of set hours, all while being coached in a group setting. This is NOT a group exercise class — each athlete is doing their own program, tailored to their needs and goals while under the guidance of a Strength & Conditioning Coach. Our client to coach ratio will never exceed 8:1.
